At Barwick and Stoford, the children are taught discrete Personal Development lessons by the headteacher which covers all statutory content set out by the Deapartment for Education.

As well as units fostered to the children's contextual needs, we follow the PSHE Association's programme of study which is based on 3 themes:

Theme 3: Living in the Wider World

We use the No Outsiders Approach to underpin key themes and to make to relevant for our children. We also link British Values to our learning in Personal Development lessons.

Assemblies are also linked to the learning in Personal Development.
